MINUTE entry before the Honorable Mary M. Rowland: Plaintiff's motion to serve any forthcoming motion for preliminary injunction via electronic means [16] is denied without prejudice. Plaintiff requests the Court to allow electronic service "after it (1) receives expedited discovery from the third-party providers who are providing services to the Defendants and (2) verifies that Defendants' physical addresses are unknown." [16] at 1-2. The motion is denied because it is not ripe. Plaintiff is attempting to comply with Kongol, LLC v. Hangzhou Chuanyue Silk Import & Export Co., Ltd., 177 F.4th 793 (7th Cir. 2026). The Plaintiff needs to explore whether each of the Defendants' addresses are known or not prior to making this request. Mailed notice. |
